The Brewery

Our very own micro brewery, The Leith Hill Brewery

Two large stainless steel fermentation tanks with round inspection ports and attached piping in a brewery.
Two smiling men in red work coats standing in the doorway of The Leith Hill Brewery; one man is bald with a white beard, and the other man wears glasses and has dark hair.

The Plough's microbrewery, is located at the back of the barn, right before the beer garden.

It is overseen by two locals, Mark Chapman and Robert Dunne.

The Leith Hill Brewery was founded in 1996 and uses conventional techniques and only all natural ingredients.

So far, we’ve created 4 charismatic real ales, which are available either at the bar, or in bottles to take away.

Beautiful South

This is a light ale in both colour and alcohol at 3.1%, a session beer as they are known. The key notes are light malt with a hint of citrus, making it a refreshing summer drink. History has it that the lead singer of The Beautiful South band did a gig in our barn and it was brewed in his honour.
